INTRODUCTION:
The City of Show Low is seeking public input on transportation safety within its city limits as it develops its Safety Action Plan (SAP). Residents and visitors have an opportunity to share their insights with the city via an online survey and interactive map.

When completed, the Safety Action Plan will help guide the city as it creates a safer transportation system for everyone who lives, works, visits, and travels throughout the community. Public input is an important element of the plan as it establishes a data-driven framework that prioritizes opportunities to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and other roadway users.
An online survey and interactive map are now open at ShowLowSAP.com. Anyone who lives, works or travels through Show Low is invited to participate.
The Show Low SAP Survey is a 10-minute online questionnaire about how individuals travel through Show Low and their transportation safety concerns. The survey also includes opportunities to provide written feedback.
The Interactive Map lets people pin specific locations on roads, intersections and routes to share location-specific ideas, concerns and experiences. The public is encouraged to engage with the map as many times as they would like.
Guided by the principles of the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads for All program and Safe Systems Approach, the Show Low SAP will evaluate existing roadway conditions, crash trends, traffic operations, and multimodal travel patterns to identify locations where safety improvements can reduce serious injuries and fatalities within the city limits.
The complete SAP will serve as a strategic roadmap for implementing short-, medium-, and long-term safety improvements while positioning the City to compete for state and federal transportation funding opportunities. The plan will include prioritized infrastructure projects and implementation strategies designed to improve safety, enhance mobility, and support Show Low's continued growth.
