Police Department Records

The Records Department is often a person's first contact with the Show Low Police Department. Police Assistants help customers by directly serving those who walk into our lobby or by referring people to the appropriate departments or agency. Our Records Department staff are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Services Provided

The Department handles all phases of record-keeping and public record distribution for the Show Low Police Department. Services provided include:

  • Handle walk-in lobby traffic.

  • Provide police and accident reports to the public upon request.

  • Duplicate video and audio as necessary for court proceedings, attorneys, and the public.

  • Maintain and provide copies of police and accident reports to insurance companies, attorneys, and the public.

  • Provide Local Record Checks (LRC) for residence management and Salvation Army.

  • Provide information on arrests and major cases to the Navajo County Attorney's Office and other agencies for prosecution.

  • Monitor Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) / National Incident-Based Crime Reporting (NIBRS) and juvenile justice compliance.

  • Submit all reportable accidents to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

  • Provide fingerprinting services to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2 - 4 p.m. on a walk-in basis.

  • Alarm Permit applications are available.

  • Property Return Request Form available.

Request a Copy of a Police Report

  • Visit the Police Department and fill out a request in person.

  • Download and complete a Records Request Form and return it to the Show Low Police Department by email, mail, or in person.

  • Use our online Records Request Form. Be sure to provide a good phone number so our Records Department personnel can contact you.

Request Copy of Traffic Accident Report

  •  Visit the BuyCrash.com web page to view and print your traffic accident report for a fee. Citizens may also contact the Show Low Police Department to request an accident report.

Request Arrest History/Local Record Check (LRC)

  • The Records Department can provide an arrest history letter of all arrests made specifically by the Show Low Police Department for a named individual. The individual must present valid photo identification. The fee for this service is $10.

State (Fingerprint Clearance Card) & Federal Arrest Records

  • Visit the Applicant Clearance Card Team (602-223-2279) at the Arizona Department of Public Safety to apply for a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  •  Visit the FBI website to apply for your personal FBI Identification Record, often referred to as a criminal history record or a 'rap sheet'.

Alarm Permits  

  •  Show Low Alarm Permit Applications can be printed, filled out and turned in to the City Hall front desk. City Hall is located at 180 North 9th Street.

Property Return Requests

  • Visit the Police Department and fill out a request in person.

  • Download and complete a Property Return Request Form and return it to the Show Low Police Department by email, mail or in person. Please be sure to provide a working phone number as the property technician will call you to schedule an appointment. Property cannot be picked up without an appointment with the Property Technician, 928-537-5091 x223.
