Friends of the Library
About
Show Low Library Friends, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1984 to raise funds for library programs and amenities. The Friends operate the Garden of Readin’ used bookstore and host various fundraising activities during the year to support the library. Show Low Library Friends is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors selected from its membership.
Mission
The Friends' mission is to assist the library in its endeavors to foster literacy, through fundraising and advocacy.
Garden of Readin'
The bookstore accepts donations of gently used hardcover and paperback books, as well as audiobooks, movies, music, and magazines to sell. The bookstore is located inside the library and is open during the library's normal operating hours. Cash and small donations of items are accepted at the library's Customer Service Desk; however, prior arrangements must be made for donations of large quantities of items.
Membership
Annual membership dues are $10. Individuals, families, and organizations are eligible for membership. Membership applications are available at the library's Customer Service Desk.
Meetings
Board meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the Heritage Room at Show Low City Hall.
