[ARCHIVED] White Mountain Hawks League

Show Low Logo

The White Mountain Hawks are in the 2nd year of operation as a summer collegiate baseball team. The Hawks will be competing in the Northern Arizona League. The League will feature teams this summer from Show Low, Prescott, Payson, Flagstaff, and Lake Havasu. It will be a highly competitive summer collegiate wooden bat baseball league. The players are coming from various universities and JC's from around the country. This year we are also bringing in outside teams from Northern California to play in a series. One of our biggest needs is getting the word out about our team and information to the local communities about the need to host players for a place to live during their 8 weeks here in Show Low during the summer. Any help in getting the word out to the local community would be a great help!

We want to welcome legendary coach Tim Kelly as the head coach of the White Mountain Hawks summer collegiate team! Coach Kelly has been involved in various roles in Major League Baseball with multiple teams as a pitching coach, scout, and roles in the front office. check out his coaches bio here:

Host Family
HOST FAMILIES NEEDED

The NAL is currently looking for community help in housing players for our Summer Collegiate League. We rely on community support to sustain our summer operations. Host families are an important piece in connecting our players with the local community. This season we will be bringing in several top talents from NCAA, NAIA, and JC baseball conferences throughout the United States. The NAL will be in the second year of operation. It is a summer collegiate wood bat league for college players honing their skills in the offseason. Being a Host Family for a player at this level can be a very rewarding experience. It is a great opportunity for you and your family to build an everlasting relationship over a span of 8 weeks in the summer. Players have maintained lasting relationships with host families. Some players have invited host families to their first pro game and weddings. It is a great opportunity to take in these student-athletes and give them a home away from home during the summer.

Who are the Northern Arizona League Players?

Players that come to the NAL are role model student athletes.

Players are assigned to the NAL by their college coach. We do not take just anyone. Each player is also required to carry a full load of school credits during the school year and they must achieve an acceptable grade point average to remain eligible to play.

Players understand they represent their University, their hometown, and their college baseball team. They sign a Code of Conduct Contract when playing in the NAL.

What we need from host family:

 A room for a player
host family does not need to provide transportation
 Earliest Arrival 6/08/22 –  Departing 8/1/22
If at all possible, taking in 2 players would help greatly.

What we provide to a host family:

Season tickets for ALL NAL Games -
Special recognition at end of the season. (Dinner/ BBQ)
Bat boy if family has a Little Leaguer
 FREE Summer Baseball Camp(s)
