[ARCHIVED] Weather conditions and fire outlook

Weather conditions are beginning to dry out, and temperatures will gradually rise from 5 to 10 degrees above normal on June 12 and 13 and then go back down to near normal by Friday, June 14.  The winds will create potential fire weather on Thursday, June 13, with winds gusts from 30 to 35 mph.  The fire danger is ranked moderate after a few days of high danger last week.  Our ERCs (energy release components) are still below average in the 50th to 60th percentile range.  The danger area is the 90th percentile.   Currently, the seven-day fire potential is little to no risk, but by the end of the week, the fire potential will increase to a low risk.  There are no fire restrictions in place at this time.  There have been several small fires of low intensity, but no human-caused fires over the weekend.  All prescribed burns have been completed.
