In March 2015, the Show Low Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve reaccreditation by verifying it meets national, professional public safety standards. Community members and agency employees are invited to offer comments at a public information session on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Show Low City Council Chambers, 181 North 9th Street, Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.
The public may also offer oral comments by calling (928) 537-0884 on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Comments will be taken by members of the CALEA assessment team.
Telephonic and in-person comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards.
