Help prepare a child entering kindergarten

SHOW
LOW, Ariz. (October 17, 2018) – A four-day Kinder Boot Camp from Nov. 13through 16 at Show Low Public Library, 181 N. 9th Street, is designed to help
children, ages 4 to 6 years, and their parents prepare for kindergarten.
Each day brings a different activity, with a handout provided for parents to take home. On Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. children will practice physical elements associated with kindergarten, such as standing in line, taking turns and raising their hand to speak. On Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. children will use Q-tips to paint numbers and letters. On Thursday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon a Kinder Prep instructor from First Things First will talk about what children will face and learn in kindergarten. On Friday, Nov 16, from 11 to 11:30 a.m., children will play games with sight words, numbers and patterns. No pre-registration is necessary nor must participants commit to attending all four days, but a parent or guardian must accompany each child at the boot camp. For more information, call (928)532-4070.
