[ARCHIVED] Do-It-Yourself craft activities in June and July at Show Low Library


SHOW LOW, Ariz. (June 20, 2018) – Learn do-it-yourself craft activities in June and July using the Show Low Public Library’s “makerspace,” a resource center with specialized computers, machines and supplies. The program, called Creation Station, consists of a series of free, self-led activities, including animation, knitting, quilting, card making, crocheting and jewelry making, held at the library at 181 N. 9th Street in June and July.


The activities are open to all ages (children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult), with the exception of a two-part session teaching and developing animation skills. This class will be held Monday, June 25, and Thursday, June 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. for ages 12 years and older.


All activities in July are drop-in sessions between 1 and 4 p.m., allowing participants to stay the entire three hours or enter and leave at any time. Crocheting and knitting are offered Monday, July 2, and Thursday, July 5. Jewelry making follows on Monday, July 9, and Thursday, July 12. Make a rubber stamp on Monday, July 16. On Thursday, July 19, Monday, July 23, and Thursday, July 26, participants are free to choose whichever activity they wish to pursue (knitting, crocheting, animation, etc.).
