Kickoff celebration is Jan. 12 from 3:45 to 4:55 p.m.
SHOW LOW, Ariz. (January 4, 2016) – Join the fun as Show Low Public Library hosts a kickoff party to celebrate the launch of the LEGO Club, open to children ages 6 to 14, on Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 3:45 to 4:55 p.m. in the Deuce of Clubs Room at Show Low City Hall, 180 N. 9th Street. Every participant will receive a free LEGO Creator or LEGO Friends set. Future LEGO Club sessions will be held the second and third Tuesdays of every month from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in the library’s event room. Participants are encouraged to limit attendance to one session each month to allow the library to serve more children.
LEGO Club is an after-school program that helps stimulate children’s imagination and originality through building with LEGO bricks to a different theme every month. Playing with blocks encourages brain development and help children develop fine motor skills, learn about problem-solving, work in teams, develop math and science skills and have fun! LEGO Club is supported through a 2015 Curiosity Creates grant from Disney and the Association for Library Service to Children. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this program.
