Guidelines/General Information
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Our City of Show Low after School Program is for children grades K-6.
PAYMENTS
Payments for City of Show Low After School Program must be made before child(ren) can participate.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
After School Program is only conducted during school days.
Monday-Thursday (Grades K-2) Drop off is 2:30 p.m. Pick up is 5:45 p.m. ($20 late fee will apply after 5:55 p.m.)
Monday-Thursday (Grades 3-5) Schools out at 2:45 p.m. Pick up is 5:45 p.m. ($20 late fee will apply after 5:55 p.m.)
Monday-Thursday (Grades 6) Drop off is 3:40 p.m. Pick up is 5:45 p.m. ($20 late fee will apply after 5:55 p.m.)
SIGN IN/SIGN OUT
Each participant must be signed in and out daily.
IDs will be checked!
Participants will only be released to a person designated by the parent/guardian to pick them up. Parents - please include your names(s) on the list!
Requests for an additional to the Pick Up Authorization form must be submitted in writing by the parent/guardian. For the security of the participants and staff, pick ups will only be allowed at off-campus sites with prior notification.
INCLUSIVE RECREATION
If your child requires accommodations for participation, please notify us at least two weeks prior to the week they will attend. City of Show Low After School Program does not staff one-on-one para pros.
SICK CHILD
Please do not send your child to the City of Show Low After School Program with a fever or an illness.
If you child exhibits symptoms of illness or fever, you will be called to pick up your child.
We ask that you make every effort to pick u the child as quickly as possible.
PARTICIPATION
City of Show Low After School Program is designed with youth in mind. We encourage all children to participate in, or at least try, all activities.
MOVIES
During City of Show Low After School Program we will be watching G and PG rated movies. (see participant forms)
DISCIPLINE GUIDELINES
Participants are expected to display appropriate behavior while at the City of Show Low After School Program.
For most behavior issues, the first occurrence will result in a warning. All other occurrences will result in a time out of activities.
The following behaviors will result in a write up: profanity, kicking, hitting, biting or any other physical aggression, repeatedly refusing to following directions and/or yelling at a program leader, breaking or vandalizing property, stealing, threatening another person, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by program leader.
These behaviors result in write up and participant will be immediately sent home: Physical aggression towards a program leader, self-injuring, refusing to cooperate with program leader, possession of weapons, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate by program leaders.
Write ups result in 1. Warning 2. Discussion with parents 3. One to three day suspension 4. Dismissed from the remainder of the City of Show Low After School Program.
INSURANCE
City of Show Low does not provide any accident or hospitalization insurance for City of Show Low After School Program participants. We recommend that you review your own family policies for coverage information.
EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
If you have an emergency and need to contact your child during City of Show Low After School Program hours, please call the Show Low Community Services at (928) 532-4130.
Phones will be answered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during City of Show Low After School Program.
