About Us

We are a municipal public library serving Show Low and the surrounding communities in the White Mountain area of Eastern Arizona. We are a Division of the City of Show Low Community Services Department and a founding member of Navajo County Library District. We serve an annual population of approximately 11,000 residents that nearly triples during the summer due to seasonal residents and visitors to our cool mountain air.

We deliver high-quality public education for all ages.

We advance the economy and enhance quality of life through:
  1. SELF-DIRECTED EDUCATION: Books and materials in all formats from a collection of over 50,000 items – all made conveniently available by library experts.
  2. RESEARCH ASSISTANCE & INSTRUCTION: Personalized research assistance with library experts and classes for youth and adults taught by library instructors.
  3. INSTRUCTIVE & ENLIGHTENING EXPERIENCES: The library as a community space and signature events, including Summer Reading.
With a FY14 budget of $415,148, our 8,021 registered cardholders borrowed 151,453 items (13.90 per capita) and attended 975 classes and events. We are funded through the City of Show Low's General Fund and receive financial support beyond our tax-funded budget through Show Low Library Friends, Inc. and pursuit of grants.
