Senior Patrol Program

About the Program

The Show Low Police Department Senior Patrol Program is a volunteer service that gives numerous hours not only to the Show Low Police Department but to the community as well. The Senior Patrol is a vital part of community policing, providing extra eyes and ears for the Operations Division.


Staff

Currently, Senior Patrol has 22 officers on staff.  These Senior Patrol members have volunteered 8,755 hours in 2019. Since forming over 30 years ago, Senior Patrol members donated in excess of 150,000  hours. This program works strictly off donations paying for all uniforms, equipment, and vehicles.


Responsibilities

  • Regularly patrol Show Low neighborhoods, parks, and business areas.
  • Senior Patrol's Property Watch Program offers added security and peace of mind for vacationing Show Low homeowners.
  • The seniors pick up and deliver police cars for repair and maintenance.
  • Serve as liaisons with the retirement community.

If you would like to enroll your vacant property in the Property Watch Program, please download the Property Watch Form, complete it and return it either to the SLPD Lobby or mail it in.
This exceptional program operates strictly through generous donations from our community. Donations are used for various programs, outreach activities as well as uniforms. Thank you for donating!!
