About Operational
Support
The Operational Support Division (OSD)
handles the administrative and ancillary functions of the police
department. This division provides services such as a regional,
multi-agency dispatch center, a records department, animal control, an
animal shelter and multi-agency transport services. Volunteer
services such as the department’s Senior Patrol Program are
coordinated through this division as well.
Administrative functions handled by OSD include
activities such as managing the department’s budget, facilities and
fleet maintenance, state and federal grants and managing the CALEA
accreditation process. Background checks, alarm permits and public
fingerprinting are just a few of the services OSD provides.
