Summer Reading provides fun and exciting opportunities for children and teenagers to explore the world of reading and lifelong learning while helping to prevent the “summer slide” kids’ experience being out of school. Summer Reading features exciting Craft and Special Events. We also offer Summer Reading opportunities for teens and adults!
This year's theme is "Imagine Your Story" and will be an online summer reading program. You will be reading lots of books, attending fun activities and playing fun games all to earn points towards badges! Earn badges by participating in reading and activities. Points will earn you tickets which will be entered into a drawing for great prizes. The more points you earn, the more tickets you receive, the more chances you have to win! Stay tuned for more details as summer reading draws closer. Click here to visit the summer reading website for more details and to register online starting May 22nd.
How does it work?
Starting on May 22nd you can register online, then on May 29th you can start earning your points.
As you earn points, you will receive prize tickets.
Books, graphic novels, reading to dog, being read to, and listening to audiobooks all count!
When you complete the program, you will receive a prize!
Everyone who completes the program will be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize. There is one grand prize for each age group!
There will be multiple other prizes available. You can choose which prize you want to put your tickets in!
