Summer Reading provides fun and exciting opportunities for children and teenagers to explore the world of reading and lifelong learning while helping to prevent the “summer slide” kids’ experience being out of school. Summer Reading features exciting events, such as Pawsome Readers (read to a therapy dog program), Craft Events and Special Events. We also offer Summer Reading opportunities for adults!
How does it work?
During June and July, register at the library and then log the number of minutes you read.
Log your reading to the chart - try for at least 20 minutes a day.
Books, graphic novels, reading to dog, being read to, and listening to audiobooks all count!
Earn prizes just by reading.
Everyone who completes the program wins a grand prize!
